Jackson Saekow Thailand Mission Updates – Week 3

Dear Ajarn and co workers,

Tomorrow will be my third week here in Bangkok. This past week, I have visited 5 prisons. Of the five, three of them were familiar to me. After I gave the gospel message, almost 100 inmates have made a decision to follow Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Please pray for their souls for this is the beginning of their journey toward a new life in Christ. Once release, even Christian inmates will be faced with temptations and hardship. The devil is not going to let them go easily. Thailand is a fun place to be for most visitors but the reality is harsh for many poor Thais. The difference in class is more obvious these days so most people would drown themselves in vices and sin.

This past Sunday, Khun Reyong Kittipol (see picture)invited me to a ‘high society’ evangelistic meeting at a fancy American hotel. This meeting was held exclusively for business men and leaders to come and hear the gospel message. Reyong and his partners have to donate around 1,500 baht per person for this event. It seemed expansive, but if one of these participants become Christian, they can influence many many more for the kingdom.

I have also taught Bible lessons for our Hmong Christians (picture below). Ajarn Soonthorn is doing his best to help with food and accommodation. They are now in a tough situation for they have no country to receive them and have no other ways to make a living except working illegally with being caught. Please play for them.

If possible, please pray for my health while I am here. Flu bugs has spread to many here at the halfway home. Everyone here came to me for advice and I told them to eat more oranges and banana. You see, Thai people love to take their medicine unnecessary for even minor sickness.

Thank you and may God bless you and congrats to John, Rungtawan, and Becky.

Jackson
