โครงเรื่อง: คำเตือน ๖ ประการสำหรับคนที่สอนคนอื่น ๆ

The 6 warnings to all teachers:

1. พี่น้องของข้าพเจ้า อย่าเป็นอาจารย์กันมากนักเลย (๑)

Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers and sisters. (1)

2. เพราะท่านทั้งหลายก็รู้ว่าเราที่เป็นคนสอนนั้น จะต้องถูกพิพากษาที่เข้มงวดยิ่งขึ้น (๑)

For you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness. (1)

3 เพราะว่าเราทำผิดพลาดมากมายกันทุกคน (๒)

For all of us make many mistakes. (2)

4. ถ้าใครไม่เคยทำผิดทางคำพูด คนนั้นก็เป็นคนดีพร้อมและสามารถบังคับทั้งตัวได้ด้วย (๒)

Anyone who makes no mistakes in speaking is perfect, able to keep the whole body in check with a bridle. (๒)

5. ถ้าเราเอาบังเหียนใส่ปากม้าเพื่อให้พวกมันเชื่อฟัง เราก็สามารถบังคับมันได้ทั้งตัว (๓)

If we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we guide their whole bodies. (3)

6. หรือดูเรือซิ แม้ว่ามันจะใหญ่และถูกพัดให้แล่นไปด้วยลมแรง เรือเหล่านั้นก็ยังถูกบังคับด้วยหางเสือเล็กๆ ไปในทิศทางที่นายท้ายต้องการจะให้ไป (๔)

Or look at ships: though they are so large that it takes strong winds to drive them, yet they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. (4)
