The 7 truths about trials and temptations:

1. คนที่สู้ทนต่อการทดลองใจก็เป็นสุข (๑๒)

Blessed is anyone who endures temptation. (12)

2. เพราะเมื่อเขาผ่านการทดสอบแล้ว เขาจะได้รับมงกุฎแห่งชีวิตที่พระเจ้าทรงสัญญาไว้กับคนทั้งหลายที่รักพระองค์ (๑๒)

Such a one has stood the test and will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. (12)

3. อย่าให้คนที่ถูกล่อลวงกล่าวว่า “พระเจ้าทรงล่อลวงข้าพเจ้า” (๑๓)

No one, when tempted, should say, “I am being tempted by God. (13)

4. เพราะว่าพระเจ้าจะไม่ถูกความชั่วล่อลวง (๑๓)

For God cannot be tempted by evil. (13)

5. และพระองค์เองก็ไม่ทรงล่อลวงใครเลย (๑๓)

And he himself tempts no one. (13)

6. แต่ทุกคนถูกล่อลวงด้วยตัณหาของตัวเอง คือถูกตัณหานั้นล่อลวงและชักนำ (๑๔)

But one is tempted by one’s own desire, being lured and enticed by it. (14)

7. เมื่อตัณหาฟักตัวขึ้นแล้วก็ก่อให้เกิดบาป และเมื่อบาปเจริญเต็มที่แล้วก็ก่อให้เกิดความตาย (๑๕)

Then, when that desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin, and that sin, when it is fully grown, gives birth to death. (15)
