The 7 characteristics of a new Christian Life (4):
- อย่าทำชั่วตอบบแทนความชั่ว (๑๗)
Do not repay anyone evil for evil… (17)
- จงมุ่งทำสิ่งที่ใคร ๆ ก็เห็นว่าดี (๑๗)
But take thought for what is noble in the sight of all. (17)
- จงอยู่อย่างสงบกับทุกคน (๑๘)
If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. (18)
- อย่าแก้แค้น (๑๙)
Beloved, never avenge yourselves…. (19)
- จงมอบให้พระเจ้าลงพระอาชญา (๑๙)
But leave room for the wrath of God; for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” (19)
- จงให้อาหารและน้ำแก่ศัตรู (๒๐)
No, “if your enemies are hungry, feed them; if they are thirsty, give them something to drink; for by doing this you will heap burning coals on their heads.” (20)
- อย่าให้ความชั่วชนะเราได้ แต่ชนะความชั่วด้วยความดี (๒๑)
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (21)
