ข้อพระธรรม: ยากอบ ๕:๗-๑๑ Scripture: James 5:7-11
กล่าวนำ Introduction:
คำสอน ๖ ประการในเรื่องความอดทน The 6 teachings on Endurance:
- เพราะฉะนั้น พี่น้องเอ๋ย จงอดทนจนกว่าองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจะเสด็จมา (๗)
Be patient, therefore, beloved, until the coming of the Lord. (7)
- ดูซิ ชาวนายังรอคอยพืชผลอันล้ำค่าที่จะได้จากแผ่นดิน อดทนรอคอยจนกว่าฝนต้นฤดูและฝนชุกปลายฤดูจะมา (๗)
The farmer waits for the precious crop from the earth, being patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains. (7)
- ท่านทั้งหลายก็ต้องอดทนอย่างนั้น จงทำใจให้ดีไว้ เพราะการเสด็จมาขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าใกล้เข้ามาแล้ว (๘)
You also must be patient. Strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near. (8)
- พี่น้องทั้งหลาย อย่าบ่นว่ากันและกัน เพื่อจะได้ไม่ต้องถูกพิพากษา นี่แน่ะ องค์พระผู้พิพากษาทรงยืนอยู่ที่หน้าประตูแล้ว (๙)
Beloved, do not grumble against one another, so that you may not be judged. See, the Judge is standing at the doors! (9)
- พี่น้องทั้งหลาย จงเอาอย่างการทนทุกข์และการอดทนของบรรดาผู้เผยพระวจนะซึ่งกล่าวในพระนามขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า (๑๐)
As an example of suffering and patience, beloved, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. (10)
- นี่แน่ะ เราถือว่าคนเหล่านั้นที่สู้ทนก็เป็นสุข ท่านได้ยินเรื่องความทรหดอดทนของโยบ และได้เห็นสิ่งที่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงทำให้เขาในบั้นปลาย คือว่าองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงมีความสงสารและความเมตตากรุณาเพียงไร (๑๑)
Indeed we call blessed those who showed endurance. You have heard of the endurance of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful. (11)
