The believers faced 5 kinds of persecution:

1)บางคนในคริสตจักรถูกทำร้าย (๑)
About that time King Herod laid violent hands upon some who belonged to the church. (1)

2)ยากอบพี่ชายของยอนห์ถูกฆ่าด้วยดาบ (๒)
Herod had James, the brother of John, killed with the sword. (2)

3)เปโตรถูกจับจำไว้ในคุก (๓-๔)
After he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter also. (3-4)

4)คริสตจักรและคริสเตียนถูกข่มขู่ให้หวาดกลัว (๔-๕)
The whole church was put under fear and pressure. (4-5)
